01

Begin with use, not a grade number

Describe what the utensil will contact, how often it will be washed and the environment in which it will be used.

A supplier can then review the requested grade alongside forming, polishing and finish requirements.

02

What to include in the material line

Write the requested grade, thickness or weight target, surface finish and any destination-market requirement as separate fields.

  • Requested steel grade
  • Product dimensions or reference
  • Finish and color treatment
  • Intended food or service use
  • Required report or test scope

03

Ask for item-level evidence

A company profile or factory audit does not automatically certify every product. Request the report that matches the selected item, material and market.
